Same shoot. 79 searches instead of 8.
Copy one keyword set onto 39 near-identical photos and they all wait for the same search. A buyer picks one; the other 38 are never seen. Keep the who and where shared, and give every frame its own why.
The facts of the series: who and where.
Each one a search this shoot can appear in. No misleading data.
Small searches where only a few of your frames compete.

In their words
As a photographer, I'd rather spend my time on the photos than on keywords. These days the app does most of that work for me, and every image gets its own title and description instead of the same metadata copied across the whole shoot. My new uploads now get their first sale within days, not weeks.

Matic Andoljšek and his team have taken a thoughtful, strategic approach to building their platform for describing video clips. They understand the importance of high-quality metadata and continually adapt to evolving trends and requirements. They consistently refine and expand the system, demonstrating a strong long-term commitment to the project. This combination of clear vision, responsiveness, and ongoing development makes the platform especially valuable.

How it works
Four steps from a raw shoot to metadata in your photos or a CSV for your agency.
Drop your shoot
Drag a folder, photos, videos or a ZIP onto the app, or pick a folder. Your originals stay where they are.
Two lines. You decide.
Say what the shoot is about and who is in it. Sort for you (beta) proposes folders by who, what and where. Rename or skip any of them: nothing moves until you approve.
A different buyer for every frame
Every file gets its own title, description and keywords in English, the strongest first. Age and ethnicity come only from your notes.
Write it into your photos
Edit anything and regenerate any file once for free. Then write titles, descriptions and keywords straight into your photos with the free Mac app, or export a CSV for your agency.

Use it in your browser — or on your Mac
Web app
- Works anywhere — all you need is a browser
- Upload a folder or a ZIP
- Edit titles, descriptions and keywords
- CSV export for the agencies
Mac app
- Works on your folder of originals
- Uploads small previews, not your full-size files
- Writes the metadata back into your photos
- Sort for you (beta)
Windows app coming later.
Stock photo and video keywording that thinks like a buyer
Describing pixels is easy. Selling a frame means naming the reason someone needs it.
A buyer angle for every frame
Near-identical shots get different titles and niche keywords, so each one can win its own search.
No guessing about people
Age and ethnicity come only from your notes. If it is not in your notes, it is not in the metadata.
The whole clip, start to finish
Video descriptions name the action as it happens, even a two-second moment in the middle.
Agency vocabulary, ready to upload
Keywords already in the agency's own terms, exported as a CSV matched by filename. Two meanings? You pick once.
Add context, regenerate free
One sentence instead of 23 edits. The first regenerate of every file is free.
Your keyword order, kept
The strongest words come first. Drag any keyword into place and the export keeps your order.

Questions contributors ask
Can I try it for free?
Yes. Every new account gets 50 free credits, enough for 50 photos or 16 videos. No card needed and no subscription.
Does it guess my model's age or ethnicity?
No. They come only from what you write about the cast. Nothing else is added.
Do I have to sort my photos into folders myself?
No. Sort for you (beta) proposes folders from two lines you write: what the shoot is about and who is in it. You review and rename them before anything moves. It works for photos and videos.
Is there a desktop app?
Yes, for Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel). It works with the folders on your Mac and writes titles, descriptions and keywords straight into your original photos. Download it at stockimageiq.com/download. A Windows app is coming later.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes, in your browser. The web app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, with the same CSV exports for every agency. Writing metadata into your original files needs the Mac app for now; a Windows app is coming later.
Does it work for video?
Yes. Clips get titles, descriptions and keywords in the same batch workflow, including duration keywords and bulk title tools.
Which agencies can I export for?
CSV export for iStock, Getty Images, Adobe Stock and Shutterstock — each in the format the agency asks for. Adobe Stock gets a short title (up to 70 characters) and your keywords in order; Shutterstock gets the full description and keywords.
Is Stock ImageIQ an AI keywording tool?
Partly. An AI model looks at each photo and video clip, writes the title and description, and suggests tags and a buyer angle; the final keywords are chosen by our code. The titles and keywords follow rules we built from 500,000+ files: agency vocabulary, keyword order, a different buyer angle for every frame, and no guessing about age or ethnicity.
Which metadata fields does the Mac app write?
The title, description and keywords, straight into your original files when you click Write: IPTC and XMP for JPEG and TIFF, XMP for PNG and WebP. Lightroom reads these fields too. Videos get a CSV file next to them instead.
Do stock agencies read the metadata from the file?
Yes. The metadata travels inside the photo, so agencies that read IPTC and XMP on upload pick it up. We tested it on Adobe Stock, Shutterstock and iStock: upload the photos with the tool you already use, and the title and keywords come with them.
How do I add the CSV to Adobe Stock?
Upload your files to the Adobe Stock Contributor Portal first. Then open Uploaded Files, choose the New tab and select Upload CSV. Adobe matches each row to a file by its filename.
Can I write context in my own language?
Yes. Write your notes, and the names of folders in the app, in the language you think in. The metadata always comes out in English.
Do credits expire?
No. There is no subscription and credits never expire.
I only upload a few files a month. Does it pay off?
Credits never expire and there is no monthly fee, so a pack lasts as long as you need it. 100 credits for €14.99 cover 100 photos, whether you use them this month or next year.
Do I keep the rights to my files?
Always. Your files are yours; we write metadata for them.
